Your tasks:

This position is responsible for the perfect procurement of raw materials, e.g. strips, sheet metal, tubes made from aluminum, copper stainless steel, for our production from a TCO perspective. Cross-functional and cross-regional coordination of processes and specialized topics around purchasing considering quality, safety, effectiveness and efficiency falls within your scope.

  • Ensure an optimal supply of goods in terms of quality, cost, and timely availability 
  • Implement cost and market analysis as baseline of commodity strategies with a clear focus on material cost optimization under total cost of ownership and saving potential
  • Negotiate and create legally secure global contracts
  • Manage a functional interface for effective and efficient cross-company processes throughout purchasing
  • Tracking of activities in order to take action in case of deviations to ensure targets achievements 
  • Strategic planning and execution of tenders for market transparency
  • Develop TCO price comparisons for cost transparency
  • Coordination of procurement for joint decision with our sites (category coordinator tasks) as a Teamleader

Your skills:

With this knowledge you will strengthen our team.

  • Bachelor or master’s degree Commercial / Technical education
  • Profound professional experience as strategic purchaser/buyer in the metal goods sector at an international steel and metal distribution center or metal processing company or AutomotiveExcellent expertise in contract negotiations
  • In-depth knowledge of contracts and experience in drafting framework agreements
  • Leadership skills
  • Proactive thinking and target motivated
  • Good IT skills (MS Office, e.g. Excel, ERP system)
  • Fluent Business English, spoken and written
