Spare Parts Manager

Job Summary:

The Spare Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing the inventory, procurement, and distribution of spare parts for our equipment. This role ensures the availability of critical components to support maintenance, repair, and customer service operations, while optimizing stock levels and minimizing downtime.

Location: Parque Stiva, Apodaca, Nuevo León. México

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the spare parts inventory, ensuring accuracy, availability, and proper storage.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to procure parts in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures and forecasting strategies.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance, production, and customer service teams to identify parts requirements.
  • Monitor usage trends and adjust stock levels accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of parts transactions and inventory movements.
  • Lead and train the spare parts team to ensure high performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Support after-sales service by ensuring timely delivery of parts to internal and external customers.
  • Analyze KPIs and prepare regular reports on inventory performance and cost efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in spare parts management, preferably in the refrigeration or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management abilities.
  • Proficient in English.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with refrigeration systems and components.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
