Main Task:
Position Purpose
The Network Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of the company’s global network infrastructure. This role ensures the secure, reliable, and efficient operation of LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and firewall environments across international locations. The position also contributes to network modernization initiatives, infrastructure migrations, and the ongoing enhancement of cybersecurity standards.
Key Responsibilities
Network Infrastructure Administration
- Design, implement, administer, and optimize enterprise network infrastructures.
- Configure, maintain, and monitor LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN environments.
- Administer Cisco networking components, wireless infrastructure, and Fortinet firewall solutions.
- Manage site-to-site VPN connections and secure remote connectivity solutions.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of network services.
Infrastructure Projects & Migrations
- Support network infrastructure modernization initiatives and hardware refresh projects.
- Assist with the migration of existing locations to new network platforms and technologies.
- Develop configurations, port profiles, implementation plans, and migration procedures.
- Create and maintain technical documentation related to network architecture and operations.
Network Security
- Administer and maintain firewall environments and security policies.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of IT security concepts and standards.
- Implement network access control and port security solutions.
- Support compliance with corporate cybersecurity requirements and best practices.
Operations & Monitoring
- Monitor network performance, capacity, and availability.
- Conduct proactive troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operation of network services across all locations.
- Support performance optimization and capacity planning activities.
End User & Service Support
- Provide first- and second-level support within the networking domain.
- Support users and customer systems remotely or by telephone.
- Coordinate and manage activities performed by external service providers.
- Prepare and maintain operational and technical documentation.
Collaboration
- Work closely with global IT infrastructure, security, and operations teams.
- Coordinate with vendors, implementation partners, and managed service providers.
- Support international projects and infrastructure rollouts.
