Position Purpose
The System Engineer / Administrator – Microsoft Infrastructure is responsible for the administration, operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the company’s global Microsoft infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. This role supports and enhances Microsoft 365, Azure, Citrix, endpoint management, and security solutions while ensuring stable, secure, and efficient IT operations worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Microsoft Infrastructure & Cloud Services
- Administer, maintain, and continuously improve the global Microsoft infrastructure, including on-premises and cloud-based environments.
- Design, implement, and operate solutions based on Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Intune.
- Manage Windows Server environments, including installation, configuration, maintenance, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
- Support and further develop Microsoft Unified Communications platforms.
End-User Computing & Support
- Provide administration and support for end-user systems across all company locations.
- Deliver 2nd- and 3rd-level support for infrastructure, client, and server-related issues.
- Resolve incidents and service requests in direct collaboration with end users and IT teams.
- Plan, deploy, and support new hardware, software installations, and release upgrades.
Citrix & Virtualization
- Administer and optimize the global Citrix environment, including:
- Citrix XenDesktop
- Citrix XenApp
- Citrix NetScaler
- Manage and support virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V and VMware.
IT Security & Endpoint Management
- Ensure compliance with corporate IT security policies and standards.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of cybersecurity controls and practices.
- Administer endpoint security solutions and central antivirus systems.
- Support vulnerability remediation and security hardening initiatives.
Infrastructure Operations
- Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity.
- Ensure reliable day-to-day operations of infrastructure services.
- Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem management activities.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and operational procedures.
Automation & Continuous Improvement
- Develop and maintain automation scripts, primarily using PowerShell.
- Support modernization initiatives and operational efficiency improvements.
- Contribute to global infrastructure projects and technology rollouts.
Collaboration
- Work closely with global IT teams, business units, and external service providers.
- Support the global IT service organization in maintaining high service quality and user satisfaction.
